Our Story
Being born and raised in Door County and starting my first job as a dishwasher at The Mill Supper Club truly led me to develop a passion for the Food and Hospitality Industry.
Through the six years that I worked at The Mill I learned and held all positions front and back of the house except for bartending.
All that experience prompted me to attend Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton where I received degrees in both Culinary Arts and Hotel Restaurant Management to further my knowledge.
After my second year in college I made the decision to leave The Mill to pursue a career with The Marcus Corporation as a Restaurant and Operations Manager.
Throughout my eighteen years with Marcus I always knew that at some point I wanted to return to my roots in Door County where my entire family resides to open a
restaurant of my own.
To this day I always say that my first job at The Mill was the best job I ever had and truly helped shape me into who I am today. It is truly my privilege and honor to bring this historic and landmark business into its next chapter.
When the opportunity for the restaurant was presented to me I began to think about how I did not want to change things too much as I love everything about the building and its old Supper Club charm, but how we could still freshen up things a bit and enhance the menu. As I created the idea for the menu, I wanted to continue the
traditional steak, seafood, and chicken offerings, but also add some new cuisine to give a little flare to the restaurant.
After looking at many options I believed that the building itself with the outside stone facade and dark wood interior lends itself well to the German cuisine which was
also not largely offered in the area. So, with that a new restaurant was born as the traditional Supper Club with a German flare.
I truly have an admiration and great passion for this restaurant and greatly look forward to serving you. Myself and my Team wish you an exceptional dining experience and the opportunity to create lasting memories with friends, family, and colleagues.
